Each Aquatic Risk Assessment Program was specifically designed to not only identify Risk within each specific aquatic industry/business model, but equally to provide risk reduction strategies and safety enhancements.
The overall goal is to reduce risk, prevent drownings, and create increased overall profitability for your pool and your business.
RISK ASSESSMENT: FITNESS CENTER / RECREATION CENTER
Are you a YMCA? A JCC? Are you a Parks and Recreation Fitness Center/Sports Complex or A Healthcare Based Wellness Center?
Do you have at least 1 lifeguard on duty – Most of (or all of) the time when your building is open?
Do you have Personal Trainers/fitness staff, front desk staff, facilities team, etc.- BUT – DO NOT have Lifeguards on duty??
Do you have Water Exercise Classes in your pool? Do you have land group ex classes? and Yoga? and Pilates? etc….
Are memberships sold? Is Childcare Available? Non-member programs?
Does your pool use liquid/tablet chlorine?
The FITNESS/REC CENTER RISK ASSESSMENT is appropriate
RISK ASSESSMENT: HOSPITALITY
Does the hotel you work in or stay in have that “smell like a pool/chlorine” smell when you walk into the lobby/pool deck?
Did you know nearly 65+% of traveling consumers choose a “hotel” based on if there is a pool!!
Nearly 90% of “standard hotel” pools (such as; Marriott +, Hyatt +, Hilton +, Holiday Inn +, Best Western/LaQuinta Inn +, etc, etc) DO NOT have a lifeguard on duty!
Do you have a CPO staff member on location? Does a non-CPO ever test your pool chemistry?
THE HOSPITALITY RISK ASSESSMENT is appropriate!
RISK ASSESSMENT: Medically Integrated/Healthcare Wellness Center
Does your fitness center have a relationship with a local/national healthcare system (Such as Mercy, Northshore, BeaconHealth, etc) and or/ a hospital/physical therapy, cardiac rehab, etc.)
Is your pool a Chlorine Pool, with liquid or tablets?
How bout’ a hot tub? steamroom/sauna?
Is there Aquatic / Land Physical Therapy occurring?
Are non-patients enrolled in programs/services?
The MEDICALLY INTEGRATED/WELLNESS CENTER RISK ASSESSMENT is appropriate
